Femi Kuti has confirmed a tour of North America in January 2009, including his headlining GlobalFEST at Webster Hall in NYC on January 11. His new release Day By Day is out tomorrow on Downtown Record's new imprint Mercer Street Records.

Played with his 17-piece band Positive Force, Femi¹s first studio album in seven years is a great mix of Afro-jazz, soul, and throwback sound to the Nigeria¹s big bands.
