Two steller talents from Africa, Stella Chiweshe and Mamadou Diabate, lead groups locally this weekend showcasing the incredible stylistic diversity emanating from that continent.
Chiweshe is known as Zimbabwe's "queen of mbira," the hand-held metal-on-wood keyboard she uses to accompany her ethereal vocals. She performs solo tonight at First Church in Cambridge, Congregational.
