Indian drumming group to perform in Annapolis Royal
Having recently completed their first tour of the U.S., Tabla Ecstasy will perform a program of Indian drumming at King’s Theatre, Annapolis Royal, on Saturday, Oct. 9, 8 p.m.
The Western India group takes its name from the tabla, the classical drum of India. While showcasing the power of the tabla, with the accompaniment of the harmonium and sitar, the group offers a fusion of Western themes with traditional Hindustani rythmns.
