GLOBAL JEWISH MUSIC WEEKEND
JDub Records and the JCC in Manhattan have teamed up to present a weekend of Jewish Museum with a predominantly Middle Eastern and Sephardic sensibility. On Saturday at 3 p.m., the gypsy rock band Golem performs. Later that night, two contemporary Sephardic pop acts, Yasmin Levy and DeLeon play a double-bill. And on Sunday, another double bill features the Sephardic group Divahn and a new trio with klezmer guru Frank London, Judith Berkson and tabla virtuoso Deep Slingh perform a mix of Ashkenazic, Sephardic and Mizrachic sounds.
