Stream Blitz The Ambassador’s Native Sun Now

Ghana-born, Brooklyn-based rapper Blitz the Ambassador is coming out with his highly anticipated work Native Sun, May 3. The project consists of Blitz’s sophomore album and a short film.
And, while the film won’t be available for another week, you can stream Native Sun in its entirety on YouTube right now.
It’s an unusually low-key and democratic way to stream your album and the video itself makes it an unusual musical experience. Vintage clips of African tribal dancing and traditional folkways, cut in with footage of Fela Kuti and shots of Blitz in the Africa of today.
The images create a sharp visual analog to Native Sun‘s fusion of Afrobeat and hip hop and Blitz’s acrobatic poetry about his love for the African continent, the modern immigrant experience in the US, and the strange times that we’re all living in.
