Blitz the Ambassador – “Native Sun” Album Release Show @ SOBs – 5.4.11

Last night, Blitz the Ambassador celebrated the release of his new album, “Native Sun” at SOBs… like I said last night, no matter how many times I see Blitz perform, his shows are always amazing! Maurice Kirya, a singer from Uganda, was his special invited guest. It was his first time performing in New York, and I was very impressed with his talent. Many thanks to the homie Naheem Adio for putting me on to him! I was geeked that he recognized me from the short film Naheem made to his song, “Supermodel.” =)

If you weren’t at SOBs last night, all I have to say is that Blitz and the mighty Embassy Ensemble turned the show into one big party! He successfully transported us to a place far, far away – something that can only be done with great music. Shouts to Hard Hittin’ Harry on the DJ duties for the night! I had to dip a little early to cover a party, but I was able to capture some shots before I left. Enjoy…
