New Music Releases This Week – 8/16/11

If you are looking for something a little unique, try the John Martyn Tribute album Johnny Boy Would Love This. Martyn is a legendary British singer-songwriter and guitarist who passed away in 2009. He released 20 studio albums over his forty year career and worked with artists such as Eric Clapton and David Gilmour.
Late last year a tribute album was started that features covers of Martyn’s songs by the likes of Snow Patrol, David Gray, Robert Smith, Bombay Bicycle Club, Morcheeba, Phil Collins and Paolo Nutini to name a few.
