John Martyn Tribute Album Released Today

A tribute album for John Martyn is being released today, Friday August 12th. Johnny Boy Would Love This - A Tribute To John Martyn is a two CD collection featuring cover versions of some of Martyn's most memorable songs. Some of music's biggest names have appear on the record, showing just how high the esteem John Martyn was held in by his peers, including the likes of Phil Collins, Paolo Nutini, Snow Patrol, Robert Smith of The Cure, Beth Orton and Lisa Hannigan.

A DVD comes as part of the collection featuring interviews with some of the musicians who appear on this collection, as well as some rare and unique live performances from Martyn himself. All proceeds from the album will go to Martyn's family.
