Baker & Taylor, Album Review >>
Quebec's finest trad ensemble is back with another gorgeous set of crooked fiddle tunes and beautiful songs, demonstrating yet again that Eastern Canada is one of the richest sources of great folk music (and folkie composers) in the world. The playing is unassumingly virtuosic, the singing is plainspoken but sweetly lovely, and the album is a joy from start to finish. If you or your library's patrons still need to discover the folk music of Canada's northeast, then by all means start here. 02/01/12 >> go there
