Iarla Ó Lionaird: Creating The Gloaming

Five virtuosos of the music world have come together to form a new band. Classically trained pianist and indie darling Thomas Bartlett, revered young proponent of Gaelic vocal traditions Iarla Ó Lionaird, deeply respected fiddle master Martin Hayes and his longtime collaborator, Chicago folk icon and guitarist Dennis Cahill and fiddle innovator Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh make up The Gloaming.

In this podcast we talk with Iarla about the recording session that started it all, their successful Ireland tour this Fall, globalFEST 2012 and upcoming recordings.
