Gigi Illuminated Audio (Palm Pictures) ***1/2
Even better though is Gigi's Illuminated Audio, a remix disc of tracks from the stellar debut disc by Ethiopian singer Gigi. This time producer Bill Laswell has taken the songs andtwisted them in new ways. In fact, much of it is virtually unrecognizable from the original and Illuminated Audio very much stands on its own.
