Music on the Rock pays tribute to Patsy Cline With its second installment of this year's Music on the Rock, Flat Rock Playhouse pays homage to Patsy Cline, one of the most admired singers in the history of country music. Onstage at Playhouse Downtown March 22-24 is "Sweet Dreams: The Music of Pasty Cline." Born in 1932, legend has it that Cline was entertaining her neighbors as early as the age of 3. Her big break came at age 25, when she won an Arthur Godfrey Talent program in 1957 with the hit "Walkin' After Midnight." From there she pursued a recording career, appearing at the mecca of country music — the Grand Ole Opry in 1958. Her natural talent and spirit took her to the top of the country charts in 1962, and her style and popularity has never waned. She died in 1963, at age 30, in an airplane crash in Tennessee. Erin Mosher will be the featured performer for "Sweet Dreams." Mosher was also a guest singer with the first concert of the season, which honored the musical legacy of Frank Sinatra.
