This week, Brooklyn's Ex-Cops, who started life as a male/female duo, unveiled a five-piece line-up and celebrated the release of their full-length debut album at Glasslands Gallery in Williamsburg.

Ex-Cops were the first signing of Other Music, the record company spawned by the Manhattan record store. Their debut album "True Hallucinations" came out last week and the group will be back in town on February 15 at the Mercury Lounge.

The first two discs from Swedish quartet Graveyard are heavy and loud. They played a pair of shows this week in the city that satisfied on that front but also showed a broader range of sonics.

Graveyard's third and latest album is called "Lights Out." Its cover art is reminiscent of Spinal Tap's "Smell The Glove."

The Stick Against Stone Orchestra are an Afrobeat-inspired outfit that formed in Pittsburgh around 1981. They wrote some dynamite songs and attracted a cult following before splintering apart and joining other groups.

Now they are back, breathing life into the old material and expanding it. SASO's new album "Get It All Up" shares a name with a documentary about them due next year. They are at Joe's Pub on Tuesday night.

Also on Tuesday night, "Strummerville," a tribute to the life and music of Joe Strummer of The Clash, is happening at the Bowery Electric with musicians like Jesse Malin, Brian Fallon and H.R. of Bad Brains taking part.
