Mississauga, Feature >>
Mississauga vocalist Vandana Vishwas will release her new album, Monologues, later this month with an exclusive performance at Sampradaya Dance Creations.
Vishwas will celebrate the release of her sophomore album with the performance on Jan. 20 at the Mississauga dance studio. The event is invitation-only and not open to the general public.
The new album, which follows 2009's Meera - The Lover, is a collection of ghazals, nazms and a couple of light thumris that are composed and arranged with Western influences while still maintaining their Indian classical music roots.

Last year, Vishwas won the Vox Pop (People's Choice) award for World Traditional Song at the 10th Independent Music Awards. She also received the Established Performing Arts award at the Mississauga Arts Council's MARTY Awards. 01/02/13 >> go there
