Arts Express presents another outstanding Broadway: Behind the Scenes workshop for grades 9 - 12! FELA! is the true story of the legendary Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, whose soulful Afro-beat rhythms ignited a generation and inspired the world. Package includes a 2 1/2 hour theater workshop, lunch, a behind the scenes look at the show's production and admission to the Broadway show! The FELA! workshop will be lead by an Afro-beat dancer/choreographer and percussionist. Student groups will create the Afro rhythms on authentic African instruments while the other group learns Afro-beat moves to those rhythms. Workshop culminates in performances of their original work.
