EMICIDA
Emicida's carreer started in freestyle battles (improvised rhymes). He released his first mixtape, “Pra Quem Já Mordeu um Cachorro por Comida Até que eu Cheguei Longe”, in 2009. With independent distribution, the album sold over 10,000 copies and made EMICIDA popular all over the country. In 2011, travelled to his first international tour, on USA, performing at Coachella Festival. In NY he recorded the EP “Doozicabraba e a Revolução Silenciosa" (organized with the producers K-Salaam and Beatnick). His music pleased the American critic, who nicknamed him “brazilian Jay-Z”. In 2012, recorded the song "9 Circulos" exclusivelly to the video game Max Payne 3 and went to an european tour. In that same year, received his second prize at brazilian MTV awards and a nomination for EMA, europe MTV awards, in best brazilian act category. In 2013, EMICIDA has just returned from his second US Tour and has just announced his second european tour. To sum up, he prepares his first album recorded at studio and a DVD with his hip hop partner Criolo.
