Texas Vocalists Set for Battleboro Concert
Guilford--The Friends of Music at Guilford are bringing the San Antonio Vocal Arts Ensemble to Battleboro for a concert on Oct. 14. This group, from Texas, sings and plays upon a wide variety of recreated instruments, based on those from biblical times.
The San Antonio Arts Ensemble has done extensive scholarly research, and has recreated music formerly thought to be lost, from a full millenium before what most of us have come to call "early music."
The concert will be at First Baptist Church on Main St., Battleboro at 8pm. There will be and admission charge of $12 at the door. $10 advance tickets will go on sale about a month before at Maple Leaf Music on Elliot St.
The ensemble has also offered to give a workshop for BUHS music students that morning. 10/07/04
