The Morning Call, Concert Preview >>
The Saw Doctors might not do the devil-may-care Irish rock band as well as The Pogues, and they may not do the political/spiritual gravitas Irish rock band as well as U2.
But in their native country they've achieved 18 Top 30 singles, including three number ones, and hold the record for the all-time biggest-selling single, "I Useta Lover," which topped the Irish charts for nine weeks in 1990.
And the band's ridiculously catchy songs and fun-loving reputation make for a heck of a show on St. Patty's Day — especially with the band's new single, the recent sneak Irish radio chart-topper, "Red Cortina A Cappella."
