Let me start by saying that there must be something brewing on the jazz scene, because there are a lot of great new releases this week. Jeff Lorber, Candy Dulfer, Jeremy Pelt, Najee, Eric Marienthal and The Soul Rebels all release new albums today.

Legends Leonard Cohen and Ringo Starr release new albums Old Ideas and Ringo 2012, respectively. The rest of this week’s new offerings include albums from Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Gotye, Imperial Teen, Lana Del Rey, Mike Doughty, SOJA, Fred Hammond, Ruthie Foster, Putumayo’s Brazilian Beat, Ana Tijoux, Hospitality and Buxton.
