Kalamazoo Gazette, Area Flutist helps win Grammy >>
Rhonda Larson plays flute on two cuts of a Paul Winter Consort CD that won a Grammy this month for Best New Age Album.
``It's great to be part of winning this Grammy, even though I won't receive the actual statue as I did on the previous Grammy,'' which the consort won in 1994, she said.
This year's Grammy is for ``Silver Solstice, 25th Annual Celebration at New York's Cathedral of St. John the Divine,'' a compilation of past performances from the consort's Solstice show.
Larson performs on ``Tomorrow Is My Dancing Day'' and on ``Cathedral Forest,'' which was written for her. ``I'm glad for Paul Winter! As for me, I'm just doing what I love -- playing flute -- and happy to contribute to other people's projects,'' Larson, of Grand Junction, said in an e-mail. 02/16/06 >> go there
