Grammy Award winning drum group comes to UWRF
On Thursday October 16, Global Drum Project, a Grammy Award winning global percussion group, will reunite to celebrate the fifteen-year anniversary of the critically acclaimed album Planet Drum. The first ever Grammy Award winner in the World Music Category, this all-star global percussion ensemble, highlighting percussionists from India, Africa, Cuba, and North America, defines the term “world beat.” Featuring Mickey Hart, Zakir Hussain, Sikiru Adepoju, and Giovanni Hidalgo.
