A bunch of lefties go through some life changing events, band together for a band, get inspired by Fela Kuti and take it to the bridge for the 21st century. Don’t go thinking this cat and his pals are derivative. They crank out and crank up some first class African dance music that draws from several wells but finds it’s own footing, even when it has to brave new trails. Killer underground stuff that disaffected college kids can enjoy with their world beat elders. 11/30/08 >> go there
