As previously reported, the All Tomorrow's Parties festival curated by Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum was rescheduled for March 9-11 from its original December date. A new lineup for the event, taking place at Butlins in Minehead, England, has now been announced. It features many bands from the original lineup, as well as many new additions.
Mangum, Joanna Newsom, and the Magnetic Fields will headline. The lineup also includes Thurston Moore, Boredoms, the Fall, Young Marble Giants, Sebadoh, Low, Scratch Acid, the Raincoats (performing The Raincoats), the Magic Band, the Olivia Tremor Control, the Apples in Stereo, A Hawk and a Hacksaw, Tall Firs, Half Japanese, Elephant 6 Holiday Surprise, Mike Watt and George Hurley performing the music of the Minutemen, Versus, the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Robyn Hitchcock (performing I Often Dream of Trains), the Music Tapes, Group Doueh, Lost in the Trees, and Yann Tiersen.
A number of artists scheduled for the December version of the fest will not be available for the rescheduled dates, including Panda Bear, Tinariwen, Superchunk, the Mountain Goats, Colin Stetson, and Group Inerane. A press release notes that the festival's organizers hope to confirm Fleet Foxes, Sun Ra Arkestra, and Micachu and the Shapes soon.
