Habib Koite (Lafayette College, Feb. 4)
Habib Koite and his band, Bamada, will appear with Guy Davis at Lafayette’s Williams Center For The Arts. Koite, originally headed down the path toward becoming an engineer some 20 years ago, decided instead to study music in Mali. He’s now become famous for his pentatonic guitar, which he plays with respect to the blues and flamenco. But we could care less about all that, because we don’t believe in big words anyway. 02/02/05 >> go there
