Penobscot Theatre Company is bringing the band Slavic Soul Party to the Bangor Opera House on Thursday, July 12, for an electric evening of Eastern European funk.
Brash and strong as slivovitz, Slavic Soul Party has forged a virtuosic new brass band culture in the heart of New York City, melding Gypsy, East European, Mexican and Asian immigrant backgrounds with American jazz and soul.
