Summer is all about music festivals and although the Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) is happening this July in New York City, those in the Windy City have an event just for them.
The first annual Chicago Colombian Music Festival is taking place at venues across the city from July 1st-30th. From salsa to punk rock, attendees will experience the best of Colombian music, all while exploring the experimental urban dance scene that’s taking over Latin America. The major headliner of this live music extravaganza is electro tropical duo Bomba Estereo, which were recently voted “Best New Band in the World” on MTV. The group will be performing for the Chicago Colombian Music Festival on Monday, July 26th at Green Dolphin Street.
Don’t miss one of the coolest events happening for and by Latinos this summer! Chicago Colombian Music Festival founder Leo Suarez assures us that this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate Colombian culture and raise funds for education back in San Basilio de Palenque.
