MUSIC - Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou + La-33
Making its U.S. debut, stupendous Beninese voodoo-funk combo Orchestre Poly-Rythmo is known for hypnotizing its audiences with psychedelic guitars, organ and driving rhythms. Opening this Music Without Borders showcase is La-33, a hard-driving salsa outfit from Bogotá, Colombia, appearing as part of the ongoing Colombian Music Festival.
