Aurelio - Laru Beya 3/3 O's Notes: Aurelio (g, vocals) is a member of the Garifuna people. They were originally enslaved on St. Vincent. They were exiled by British colonizers and deported to Central America over 200 years ago. They retained a lot of their African based culture including their music. Aurelio collects elements of his roots, his upbringing in the Honduras and dials into 2011. The results are a world jazz that is on target. We liked the funky beats of "Wéibayuwa" and reggae of "Nuwaruguma".
