SALAAM: Traditional Iraqi music as played by Chicagoans transplanted to the Gulch with a sense of humor and abandon that once again takes world beat beyond it’s normal perimeters. Playing with the everyone’s invited nuttiness that you can only find in a college town, this shows that music is once again the international language and that differences can be settled with some good vibes, a little belly dancing and a full, bottomless hookah. Crazy stuff the open eared will love. 07/11/09
