Thanksgiving weekend has something for everyone. Massive shopping. Tons of TV and football. The weekend that kicks off the holiday season. And let us not forget the food, glorious food. Thanksgiving is a time for giving thanks, spending time with friends and family and getting in the holiday spirit and having fun. There are lots of fun things to do for this long weekend in NYC. So please check out our picks below and don't worry there are free things to do as well so you don't get your money "gobbled" up. If you liked that corny joke, here are some more!
What kind of music did the Pilgrims like? Plymouth Rock. Which side of the turkey has the most feathers? The outside. I'm excited about Thanksgiving because I love unwelcome parenting advice from relatives I see twice a year. Thanksgiving is great because people tend to speak less when food is lodged in their mouths. They should change the name of Thanksgiving to something more fitting like say, Turkeypocolypse or Stuffing-cide. And on that note, we here at igokids hope you all thoroughly enjoy all of the things you're thankful for this weekend.Watch and enjoy traditional Mexican toys come to life in this puppet show for families. After the show there will be a hands-on workshop, where recycled materials are used to build toys for participants to take home. Cornisa 20 is a repertory company performing plays on streets, puppets, as well as stage. Cornisa 20 has performed in many "celebration days" all over the world. The Celebrate Mexico Now is New York City’s first and only annual festival of contemporary Mexican art and culture. The event takes place on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. It is free for all to enjoy. 11/22/12 >> go there
